It’s been a big year for everyone’s favorite web-slinger across multiple mediums, with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 leading the gaming charge and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on the entertainment side of things. If you can’t get enough of the superhero, you’ll want to look at the upcoming Lego Spider-Man’s Mask set, which features nearly 500 pieces and releases January 1. Preorders are now open for the buildable model–and since it’s bound to be a hot item, consider locking in your reservation as soon as possible.

The Lego Marvel Spider-Man’s Mask Super Hero Kit clocks in at 487 pieces, which means skilled crafters can probably snap it together in a long afternoon. You’ll also get a stand with a nameplate to round out this cool display piece. It’s a fairly decent-sized model too, coming in at 7.5-inches tall once fully constructed.
Along with the usual instruction manual, you can also check out detailed building plans using the Lego Builder app.
If you have a Spider-Man fan on your holiday shopping list, this could be the perfect gift. The only drawback is its January 1 release date–meaning your recipient will have to be willing to wait a few extra days to get their hands on the kit.
This isn’t the first statue-style model launched by Lego, as the company offers the Darth Vader Helmet (along with a slew of other Star Wars-inspired helmet kits). You’ll also find the Lego Marvel Spider-Man Final Battle set available at Amazon, which is a sprawling 900-piece set that includes nine unique minifigures. Consider giving them a look if you need something to bide your time before the Spider-Man Mask shows up in January.
