Amazon’s upcoming 48-hour Big Deal Days event is effectively the reincarnation of Prime Day 2023. Running October 10-11, Prime Day Round 2 is sure to include heaps of great gaming deals, including discounts on Nintendo Switch games, accessories, and merch. In fact, rival retailers are already kicking off competing sales. Meanwhile, Amazon has a ton of enticing Nintendo Switch deals to shop ahead of Prime Day Round 2 next week.
As far as games are concerned, Target is currently one of the best destinations leading up to Prime Day Round 2. If you’re a Target Circle member (which is free to join), you can snag Kirby and the Forgotten Land for $40 (down from $60), Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope for $30 (down from $40), and Link’s Awakening for $40 (down from $60). Some of these deals are also already available at Amazon–and there’s a good chance more will go live on October 10.
Other great games on sale include Tears of the Kingdom for $45 (down from $70), Dragon Quest Treasures for $35 (down from $50), and Pokemon Scarlet for $43 (down from $60).

If you’re more interested in accessories, consider checking out deals on Hori’s excellent handheld Split Pad Pro controller, 8BitDo’s budget-friendly Ultimate controller, and SteelSeries’ Arctis Nova 7P wireless headset, which is compatible with Switch as well as PlayStation, PC, and mobile.
A bunch of Nintendo-themed art books and encyclopedias are also on sale. The easiest one to recommend is The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia (Deluxe), as it’s seeing a $40 price cut and is now just $50. Clocking in at 328 pages, this massive book highlights more than 30 years of Zelda history. If you’re a fan of the franchise, it’s a must-have for your collection. Plus, the Deluxe edition has a gorgeous gold cover modeled after an NES cart.
