The world of virtual reality will expand on February 22 thanks to the launch of the PSVR 2 headset for PS5. Building on the foundation laid by the original PSVR headset, this next-gen headset packs in a bundle of impressive features (such as eye tracking, headset haptics, and a 4K resolution), but it also carries a staggering $550 price tag.
Thankfully, Sony seems to be giving PSVR 2 heaps of attention, with a mountain of games already announced for the platform. This includes a good mix of remasters, new releases, and sequels to established titles. All told, about 50 games have been revealed for PSVR 2, and we’re sure to hear about more throughout 2023.
Of course, the PSVR 2 games library is just as important as its technical chops, and right now things don’t look to disappoint. From tactical shooters like Crossfire: Sierra Squad to relaxing titles like Puzzling Places, Sony’s headset looks to have all of the major genres covered. One of the most anticipated titles for PSVR 2 is Horizon: Call of the Mountain, which takes place in the same world as Forbidden West and should help show off the power of the $550 gadget.
